As head pharmacist and owner of Preckshot Compounding Pharmacy, Corey Dolan is responsible for running the day-to-day business, training employees, providing patient care, and ensuring the accuracy of all medications. A pillar of the community for over four decades, Preckshot Pharmacy has been taken to new heights since he assumed ownership in 2017. Sales are at an all-time high, while Dolan has ensured Preckshot is one of the few compounding pharmacies in the Midwest to be USP 800 quality-compliant for safety in handling hazardous drugs in healthcare settings.
A member of the Pharmacist Compounding Centers of America, Dolan is a fixture in the Peoria community, educating nurses, practitioners and the general public about the benefits of compounding medications and helping doctors find alternative medications that can be compounded for patients. He also led Preckshot to become an educational hub for CBD products across the state, including producing its own line of CBD oil. In 2019, he opened CBDPharm at Northwoods Mall, offering a variety of CBD products as well as consultations with pharmacists.
A small business owner himself, Dolan is a strong supporter of local businesses and regularly sponsors community health and wellness events. He hosted two large informational events about CBD over the past year and has put together veterans’ talks about the positive impact of CBD in their lives. He has been a preceptor to pharmacy students throughout his career and is currently mentoring an overseas pharmacist, helping him to acquire a license to practice in the United States.
Dolan has sponsored events for groups including EP!C, MPN Peoria, Hult Center for Healthy Living and St. Jude Catholic School, among others. He also serves as a volunteer coach and sponsor of his children’s sports teams. As co-chair of EP!C’s Bon Appetit 2020 event with his wife Kathy, he is responsible for recruiting committee members and providing leadership for the event planning process. PM
