As vice president and senior commercial banker at Morton Community Bank, Jeff Schieferle Uhlenbrock is responsible for providing commercial lending services to businesses of all types and sizes. With a focus on creating trusted relationships, he works to increase growth opportunities, expand lending capacity, and manage risk via industry and geographic diversification. His $200 million portfolio encompasses everything from small startup businesses to large commercial real estate deals, including historic tax credit transactions and SBA-supported projects.

Earlier this year, Schieferle Uhlenbrock took on an incredibly important role amid the COVID-19 pandemic, immersing himself in the complexities of the federal Paycheck Protection Program. With his guidance and expertise, Morton Community Bank was able to help over 2,400 businesses with timely PPP loans.

Active in the Morton community, Schieferle Uhlenbrock is a leader within the Morton Chamber of Commerce. After joining the board in 2018, he took on the role of treasurer, then became vice president, and is slated to serve as board president in 2021. He has been a runner with the Morton to Peoria St. Jude Runs group since 2015 and is highly involved in the St. Jude Kids’ Muddy Madness event as treasurer and corporate sponsorship lead, working to expand the donor base. He also serves as chairperson and a race director for the Morton Pumpkin Festival’s Pumpkin Classic.

Since 2017, Schieferle Uhlenbrock has volunteered as treasurer for the Tazewell-Mason County Special Education Association. He is an alumni board member of the Bradley University Financial Management Association and was involved in the establishment of Junior Achievement’s Morton Area Regional Board of Directors, previously serving as vice chair. He was named the Finance Graduate of the Year at Bradley University and received the Douglas Thorson Outstanding Scholar in Economics Award, going on to earn his MBA at Bradley and a certificate in hotel real estate investment and asset management from Cornell University.PM
