Cliff Laine is an investment services consultant and member of the investment advisory team at Alliance Benefit Group – Illinois, where he uses his expertise to oversee the care and service of the firm’s retirement plan advisory clients. His vision, passion, attitude, attention to detail and commitment to professional development set a positive example for his co-workers, and his professional contributions include being named a top-tier sales professional by Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and the 2009 Small Business Lender of the Year by the Indiana Statewide Certified Development Corporation.
As a member of the Heart of Illinois United Way’s GENeration United LEAD Committee, Laine has been an invaluable contributor. He has also served the United Way as a grant reviewer, member of the Agency Audit Committee and angling guide for the “Snag and Brag” fishing tournament. A wide range of United Way partner agencies have benefited from his community involvement, earning him the 2014 Hoot Gibson Award for volunteerism.
Strongly committed to youth development, Laine has served as a Big Brother mentor for the Heart of Illinois Big Brothers and Big Sisters for two years. An Eagle Scout, he gives back to the Boy Scouts of America, WD Boyce Council as a curriculum coordinator for the Youth Venturing Canada Trip for Inner City Youth. He is also a trustee for the Matthew Thomas Stevenson Scholarship Trust, which awards a personal computer and software to deserving Eagle Scouts in need.
Laine combines his community involvement with a passion for physical fitness, hitting the pavement for the St. Louis to Peoria Run to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He is an ambassador for the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce and a 2013 graduate of the Chamber’s Community Leadership School. When not working or volunteering, Laine enjoys traveling, fishing and spending time with his wife, Anne, and dog, Marlin. iBi
