Timothy D. Gronewold is an attorney at Howard & Howard Attorneys PLLC, concentrating his practice in commercial litigation, as well as labor and employment law. As a commercial litigator, he assists clients with contract disputes, business torts, real estate, injunctions, construction claims, temporary restraining orders and insurance coverage disputes. With regard to labor and employment law, he assists in litigation involving wrongful discharge, Title VII, the Family and Medical Leave Act, federal wage and hour claims, unemployment claims, employment contracts, civil rights administrative proceedings and more.

He shares his expertise as a frequent speaker at seminars and conferences, presenting to the Chicago Bar Association and serving as a participating witness for the Illinois State Bar Association Trial Practice Series, among others.

Gronewold is an active volunteer in the community, most notably with the American Red Cross, Heart of Illinois United Way and Community Workshop & Training Center (CWTC). As founding member and chair of the Golf FORE the Red Cross planning committee, he helps raise tens of thousands of dollars each year for the Red Cross. He serves on the CWTC board of directors, an organization that provides programs and services to adults with disabilities, and sits on the Young Leaders Board at Illinois CancerCare, where he helps with its flagship event, Golfin’ in the Wild.

Gronewold is Legal Services Division co-chair of the Heart of Illinois United Way Campaign Cabinet, in addition to serving on the Morton Micro Grant Review Committee. He has also chaired the Morton Business District Development and Redevelopment committee, co-chaired the Peoria County Bar Association Project Santa initiative and served as a mock trial judge at Bradley University, in addition to completing numerous pro bono projects.

When not providing legal counsel or serving one of his favorite nonprofit organizations, Gronewold enjoys spending time with his wife, Joy, and children Kate and Luke, as well as golfing, cooking, reading and traveling. iBi
