As Senior Assistant Director of Admissions at Bradley University, Joshua Jones manages travel to six states—engaging thousands of prospective students, representing the university to the general public, and ensuring that top talent enrolls at Bradley. He has played a crucial role in helping the university reach its overall enrollment goals, having exceeded his individual goals by wide margins.

Among his accomplishments, Jones organized and moderated two focus groups to engage underrepresented students and improve their college experience, and he co-led a team of admissions counselors to create and promote the #BradleyBound social media hashtag, connecting students from around the globe. He has served on the Strategic Search and Admission Communication team, using historical data and enrollment trends to determine the best markets to target for prospective students, as well as the Admissions Department hiring team, reviewing hundreds of applicants and organizing interviews for top candidates.

Outside of Bradley, Jones has been an integral member of GENeration United, the Heart of Illinois United Way’s young professionals’ organization, dedicating well over 100 volunteer-hours annually to serve the United Way and its partner agencies, including Neighborhood House, Hult Center for Healthy Living and Crittenton Centers. For the last two years, he co-chaired the GEN U Mad Dash, leading volunteers and committee members to raise more than $40,000 for the United Way. He has also served on GEN U’s Executive Committee and Membership Committee, work which led to his selection to serve on the Heart of Illinois United Way Campaign Cabinet.

Jones has also volunteered as a soccer coach and been a Big Brother to an 11-year-old “Little” through Big Brothers Big Sisters. He has been active with the Peoria First United Methodist Church Council, and performed at Corn Stock Theatre and Peoria Players on multiple occasions. From adopting a deaf dog from a pet rescue to purchasing uniforms for Peoria Public Schools students in need, Jones repeatedly makes good things happen for others, leaving a humble legacy of service above self. iBi
