Community Impact

Mission
The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) propels women entrepreneurs into economic, social and political spheres of power worldwide by:

  • Strengthening the wealth-creating capacity of our members and promoting economic development within the entrepreneurial community
  • Creating innovative and effective change in the business culture
  • Building strategic alliances, coalitions and affiliations
  • Transforming public policy and influencing opinion makers

The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Central Illinois Chapter is a dynamic group of intelligent, compassionate women who support each other in our endeavors as business owners. For more than 35 years, the Central Illinois Chapter of NAWBO has helped women-owned businesses grow and expand.

We promote personal development through our educational programs and build powerful connections through our chapter membership. We believe it is our responsibility to not only be successful business owners, but also to give back to our communities. Together we can accomplish unbelievable goals!

Central Illinois NAWBO members represent businesses from solo-preneurs to those with hundreds of employees. Members hail from every business industry—from construction and importers, to retailers and service providers—and represent all areas of Central Illinois. Membership is open to sole proprietors, partners, and corporate owners with day-to-day management responsibility. Members can access a variety of opportunities, products and services that will help their business achieve greater visibility, credibility, and profitability while building a strong network of other women-owned businesses in the region. Our chapter affords our members the ability to network not only on a local level, but also to stay connected to the larger community of women business owners through the national organization. How to Help
Individuals—including people who are not women or business owners—can support women business owners by becoming a corporate sponsor. There are a variety of levels that support the organization. Among the many ways to support women in business with significant impact is by sponsoring a membership for a woman business owner!
