Dallas N. Bowers is the lead accountant responsible for personnel and corporate tax returns at Steven D. Greim & Co., a full-service tax preparation and audit firm, where his background as a high school teacher influences his desire to help however he can. As a QuickBooks Pro advisor, Bowers has led numerous sessions for small business owners, simplifying accounting principles and the tax code for clients. Always striving to do more, he has been essential in developing leads and bringing in new clients.

A champion of the underdog, Bowers has a passion for helping nonprofits and serving those in need. Inspired by his grandfather’s service during World War II, Bowers joined the Greater Peoria Honor Flight as a volunteer, where he has assisted with accounting issues and grant writing, in addition to serving as bus captain for eight successful flights. He is a past recipient of the Honor Flight’s Blue Star Volunteer Award for his assistance in developing functional, easy-to-use accounting systems.

Ever true to his teaching roots, Bowers coaches employees at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Peoria on how to find more efficient ways to do their jobs while furthering the organization’s mission. He has also volunteered as a basketball coach for players of all ages, imparting upon young people the importance of education.

An active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Illinois CPA Society, Bowers is a former executive board member of Pi Kappa Alpha at Illinois State University, where he enjoys returning to campus to guide and mentor his fraternity brothers. He is a gifted communicator and avid history buff who loves to golf, read, work out, and watch college and pro basketball. iBi
