As the Illinois retail sales manager for Commerce Bank, Nicholas Heskett is responsible for implementing, monitoring and improving sales systems to increase production in the Illinois market. He coaches new sales staff members and managers, and works closely with business partners to develop and lead training initiatives, establish IT timeframes, and continue the development and enhancement of staff to ensure products, systems and customer service meet the high standards required by the bank and its customers.
Tasked with implementing a new sales system, Heskett was able to successfully increase sales opportunities across the Illinois market and create sales enhancement services throughout the entire company. His creative solutions and enthusiasm for accomplishing this mission through hands-on leadership are well known and appreciated by his dedicated coworkers. He is a graduate of Commerce Bank’s Leadership Development Program and is currently completing the Advanced Leadership Development Program, the organization’s highest level of leadership training.
A strong supporter of The Salvation Army, Heskett is a board member and finance chair for ECHELON, a diverse group of young adults that supports the organization through volunteerism, fellowship and fundraising. He co-chaired a back-to-school event that helped provide 90 children with much-needed school supplies, and as a financial counselor, he is developing a workbook to help families improve their financial acumen. He also serves on The Salvation Army Program Ministries Committee, which addresses opportunities to fulfill critical social service needs in the community.
As a school board member and PTO treasurer for Bartonville Grade School, Heskett actively pursues the betterment of education. He helps organize afterschool activities, from Santa dinners and movie nights to other fundraising activities, and also serves on the CWTC Finance Committee.
