As a senior vice president/manager and senior community lender at Washington Community Bank, Matt Moehle’s role is two-fold. He is first responsible for managing the branch location, overseeing all operations and functions, and ensuring his team provides excellent service and products to the people of Washington. In his role as senior community lender, he provides financial services to consumers, as well as to businesses. He is the market leader in Washington and has been key to the bank’s overall growth and success, including the 2010 expansion to its current location.

Like his dedication to the bank, Moehle is similarly committed to the community in which he lives and works. He serves as treasurer for the Washington Rotary Club, and was formerly its president. He also serves on the Washington Community High School Parent/Community Advisory Council, Central School District 51 Community Leadership Committee, Washington Park District Foundation Board of Directors, and as manager and caretaker of the Firethorn Subdivision. He is the current president of the Washington Illinois Area Foundation, and previously served on the Five Points Washington Capital Campaign Committee and the Washington Park District Board of Commissioners.

When a tornado devastated the community in 2013, Moehle was an obvious choice to serve on the Washington Tornado Relief Fund Committee, and was instrumental in leading rebuilding efforts, as well as providing emotional support and financial guidance to area residents. Active with Crossroads United Methodist Church, he co-chairs its capital campaign, in addition to serving as Sunday school teacher, youth leader and financial coach, providing financial education and guidance to those in need. He is also a coach and mentor in a variety of youth sports and activities. iBi
