40 Leaders Under Forty

Ashley Schreck serves as director of marketing for EP!C, a local nonprofit that enriches the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this role, she oversees all communication efforts, including branding, public relations, messaging, website, and social media management. She helped spearhead the “I Am EP!C” marketing campaign, which greatly increased brand recognition across the community, and has boosted the agency’s social media presence across multiple platforms, attracting hundreds of new followers with engaging content.

Prior to joining EP!C, Schreck was assistant director at the CEO Council and served in various capacities at Girl Scouts of Central Illinois, building donor relations and fundraising in the Peoria, Quincy and Peru territories. She is an active member of the Rotary Club of Peoria-North, where she leads the marketing committee and is a Paul Harris Fellow. She also sits on the Peoria Area Regional Council for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and is a founding board member of the Peoria Innovation Alliance.

Most recently she led the “Light It Up! Murray Baker Bridge Project” as part of Illinois Sen. Chuck Weaver’s 1,000# Project, raising funds and educating the community about how new LED lighting for the bridge could bring the community together, and how local organizations could “light it up” with their colors to promote awareness for specific causes and events.

A corporate champion and past board member for the Young Professionals of Greater Peoria, Schreck often donates her services as a photographer for various special events. She helped secure the All America City Award for Peoria in 2013, and has volunteered for Special Olympics Illinois, the Steamboat Classic and Peoria Regional Learning Center. She was selected as one of WEEK-TV’s 25 Women in Leadership in 2019 and is a 2016 graduate of the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership School. PM
