40 Leaders Under Forty

As treasury management officer for PNC Financial Services Group, Laura Gleissner works with corporate clients and prospects in the Central Illinois region to identify opportunities to optimize working capital, increase customer efficiencies and mitigate risk. Her relentless dedication in support of her customers has made her a leader at PNC, where she has served as a mentor to numerous financial services professionals over the years. She is a multi-year winner of PNC’s annual Market All Stars award which recognizes the top treasury professionals at the firm.

Gleissner combines her professional skills with a passion for giving back, as evidenced by her service in a range of leadership roles in the community. She currently serves as president of the Peoria PlayHouse Children’s Museum Advisory Board, where she helped to create and roll out the organization’s strategic plan for 2021. As a member of the Heart of Illinois United Way Finance Committee, she helps to oversee financial operations, and as a board member for Junior Achievement of Central Illinois, she assists with educational programs that foster workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills for youth. She also serves on the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, helping to guide the organization’s work for the coming year.

A graduate of the Peoria Area Chamber’s Community Leadership School, Gleissner serves as treasurer for the Metamora Grade School Foundation, where she has assisted in raising nearly $60,000 for teacher grants over the past two years. She is also a Girl Scouts troop leader, planning and facilitating troop meetings and maintaining responsibility for its finances, and has served as a co-chair for the Give Thanks Walk, raising funds and awareness for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
