Travis R. Weaver serves as strategy manager at Caterpillar Inc. with responsibility over aftermarket parts and services. Working to grow the aftermarket business, he has valued countless acquisitions and new product introductions ranging from less than $1 million to over $200 million. He successfully managed Cat’s balance sheet and deposit risk strategy projects to completion, while his leadership on investor relations and shareholder engagement strategies led to multiple accolades from Institutional Investor magazine—ranking Cat the #1 “Investor Relations Team” in the machinery sector and ranking Weaver #3 as “Best Investor Relations Professional.” He also serves on the steering committee for Caterpillar’s strategic alliance with the University of Illinois, working to expand their partnership to attract more young talent to the region.
Likewise, Weaver’s volunteer efforts in the community are driven by his passion for kids and education—and his desire to bring about transformational change in central Illinois. He recently joined the Wildlife Prairie Park Governing Board with a focus on expanding educational efforts in wildlife and conservation. As a volunteer for the Moonlight Coalition for Adult Learning, he tutors adolescents and adults seeking to pass the GED, and he recently obtained his student teaching license in order to spend time in local classrooms as a substitute teacher.
Weaver previously served as a mentor and role model to a middle school student through Big Brothers Big Sisters. As a past board member for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), he led the creation of a new fundraising event to diversify their sources of income, raising $20,000 over three years to support abused and neglected children in the court system.
After relocating to Deerfield with Caterpillar in 2017, Weaver moved back to Peoria in 2020 when remote work began. He is committed to making Peoria a better place where people can find opportunity through education, businesses can grow and relationships can flourish. PM
