Lacy Wall

In her position at the hospital, Wall develops goals and business plans for the department; manages financial, capital, productivity and human resources; assures compliance of policy and procedures as well as continuous performance improvement of best practices for safety and quality; and mentors and develops Mission Partners.

“Lacy works with teams in the ED and organizationally to improve the progression of care,” with corresponding and measurable improvements in mortality and adverse event rates, preventable medical errors, and patient satisfaction, said her nominator. “Lacy’s a person that is never too good to do anything. While busy with her role and family, she still dedicates time to clean her church.”

Childhood ambition: “I knew in the 4th grade that I wanted to be an ED nurse.”

Advice to 20-year-old self: “Have patience.”

Hobbies: “I enjoy anything outdoors! I love to stay active.”

Unknown to colleagues: “When I was in 6th grade, I caught an alligator with my fishing pole.”

Best advice: “Say ‘I love you’ often.”

Biggest challenge: “Preparing an ED when COVID hit.”

Motivating social issues: “I don’t really get fired up. I worry about ‘what is going on in my house, not the White House.’”

Leadership definition: “Someone who is relatable but respected. Someone that supports their employees and genuinely cares about their wellbeing.”

Personal inspiration: “Honestly, my parents.”

Peoria needs: “I am sure this isn’t the answer you are looking for, but safety!”
