Your Christmas party begins with cocktails year after year, and your guests are getting tired of the same old drinks every time they come over. Suddenly, eggnog and Tom and Jerrys won’t cut it, and screwdrivers and Bloody Marys have been done to death. You’re okay behind the bar, but certainly no bartender, and when it comes to mixing drinks, it’s best if you stick to the recipe.

If this is the case, there’s hope! We’ve done the homework for you and found some new drinks your guests will be sure to enjoy. SKYY Spirits, the parent company of SKYY Vodka (whose distillery is located in Pekin), has released recipes using several unique, high-quality ingredients, such as Midori Liqueur, Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey and Martin Miller’s Gin.

We got the ingredients, followed the recipes and tasted each drink to ensure they’re worthy of you and your guests, and we’re sure you won’t be disappointed. It’s time to stock the liquor cabinet with new ingredients and give your guests a reason to raise their glasses!


Irish Kiss
2 parts Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey
½ part of Irish Mist
1 part Heavy Cream/Ice Cream Chocolate Syrup
Shake with ice and serve in a chilled martini glass.
Garnish with shaved chocolate.

 

Martin Miller’s Sugar & Spice Martini
2 oz. Martin Miller’s
2 oz. Apple Cider
¾ oz. Fresh Orange Juice
Splash of Brown Sugar Simple Syrup
Shake with ice. Serve in a martini glass that has been rimmed with a mixture of cinnamon and super-fine sugar.

 

Midori Mistletoe Punch
1 part SKYY Vodka
1 part Champagne
1 part Midori
2 parts Pineapple Juice
1 part Soda Water
Prepare in a punch bowl, pour over ice. Garnish with a candy cane.

 


Very Berry Martini

2 oz Martin Miller’s Gin
¾ oz Crème de Casis
½ oz Grenadine
Shake all ingredients in a shaker with ice.
Pour into martini glass and garnish with fresh berries. 

 

 

Merry Martini
3/4 oz Midori
2 oz SKYY Citrus
Splash of White Cranberry Juice
Shake and strain into a chilled martini glass.
Garnish with red berries or melon balls. 

 


Merry Irisman

2 parts Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey
1 part Coffee Liquer
1/2 part Mint Schnapps
Serve over isce in a rocks glass and garnish with a candy cane. a&s
