"The Moth" is many things: a weekly radio show on NPR, a podcast, a collection of books, and a growing series of live performances held all over the world, from Dublin to Dubai, New York to L.A. Its motto is “True Stories Told Live.” One of the things that makes it work is that the stories are curated—meaning they are polished and rehearsed, but still fresh and 100% true.

The Contemporary Art Center of Peoria (CAC) is partnering with internationally acclaimed storyteller and author Brian “Fox” Ellis to create a “Moth-like” storytelling event on March 22, 2018, at 7pm. The public is invited to listen—but in order to perform, you must attend two workshops on March 8th and 15th (also at 7pm). These workshops will move beyond basic storytelling and help participants build the skills and confidence to share their powerful, life-changing tales.

The goal is to launch a regular Moth-like event every other month throughout the year. So mark your calendar for March 22nd and contact the CAC to sign up for the workshops: (309) 674-6822 or [email protected]. a&s
