Get ready for a fantastic night of gourmet food, wines, and polo when ELM presents Wines and Polo on the Prairie at 6 p.m., June 24, at Weaver Angus Farm.

This annual event, which benefits Easter Seals, includes tasting more than 100 different wines from all over the world. There’s also a “connoisseur” wine tasting from 4:30 to 6 p.m. featuring high-end wines. This tasting costs an additional $50 per person. Event attendees also will sample foods from more than 30 local restaurants, whose chefs are cooking up their specialties for the evening.

The benefit includes entertainment such as a world-class polo match with local polo players. Not only will guests enjoy the on-field play, but they can even get into the game by replacing the “divots.” Live music and dancing is also on tap for the evening.

An extraordinary raffle includes the following prizes: $5,000, a Bremer Jewelry piece, two foursomes to WeaverRidge Golf Course and dinner for eight at WeaverRidge, $1,000, a backyard BBQ with a chef for 40 people courtesy of Echo Valley Meats, a $500 gift card to Alwan Meats, and two round-trip tickets to Las Vegas. Raffle tickets cost $100, and only 400 will be sold. Guests also can participate in a silent auction.

Tickets cost $75 per person and can be purchased by calling Easter Seals at 686-7755, ext. 2320.
