David Nicoll serves as a commercial manager in the Heavy Construction and Mining Division at Caterpillar Inc., where he is responsible for the global marketing for large and medium tractors and pipelayers. During his 14 years at Caterpillar, he successfully introduced the marketing of the company’s first electric-drive, track-type tractor. Through these efforts, global recognition was received in numerous trade press articles highlighting Caterpillar technology and environmental sustainability.

Nicoll led a three-year, emerging-market study for track-type tractors in China, India and Russia. He conducted market, product and customer analysis on-site with teams representing marketing, engineering and manufacturing, and developed a long-term product and distribution strategy for emerging markets. Nicoll is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and a perfect example of a self-driven, highly motivated individual who has risen through the ranks at Caterpillar.

Nicoll has served the community through his alma mater, Bradley University, and Habitat for Humanity. He was elected to Habitat’s board of directors and will remain chairman of the Family Selection Committee, where he works with local families to help them achieve their dreams of owning a home. He serves on the board of Delta Upsilon fraternity at Bradley University, and recently completed a three-year assignment as the board’s CFO, during which he managed a $250,000 capital campaign. The Bradley chapter was named the top chapter in North America by the international fraternity. He is also a supporter of St. Jude, the United Way and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

A coach for the Peoria Christian Center and servant for the Peoria Area Campus Ministries at Bradley University, Nicoll coordinates home-school basketball leagues and serves in various positions at Bethany Baptist Church. He completed the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business Certificate program and is a Bradley University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in business marketing. He also recently completed Bradley’s Executive Management certificate program, Management for the 21st Century.
