Glen Birnbaum, a certified public accountant, has worked for Heinold-Banwart, Ltd., the largest locally-owned CPA firm in the area, for the past decade. He started with the firm in 1999 after graduating Summa Cum Laude from Bradley University, and his talents were quickly recognized as he moved from staff accountant to manager, and then to shareholder. Birnbaum is primarily responsible for client service to for-profit entities including construction, manufacturing and agriculture clients, though he has a particular specialty in performing business valuations as a certified valuation analyst.

Birnbaum’s intellect, sincerity and passion for helping clients, combined with his attention to detail and strong work ethic, helped him become the youngest shareholder of Heinold-Banwart. He leads recruiting efforts at college campuses, instituted a summer internship program, and is active in the strategic direction and continuing education of company members by organizing in-house seminars in hopes of transitioning the firm to the next generation
of leaders.

The Peoria community greatly benefits from Birnbaum’s volunteer efforts. He is co-chair of professional development on the board of the Young Professionals Organization of Greater Peoria and serves on the finance committee for Habitat for Humanity Greater Peoria Area, on Bradley’s Department of Accounting Advisory Council and on the finance committee for his church.

Accredited in business valuation, Birnbaum is a member of the American Society of Appraisers, the Illinois CPA Society and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He also graduated from the Young Professionals Organization Leadership Development Program. He is a leader’s leader with a passion for excellence in everything he does, no matter how big or small. iBi
