As vice president of Horan Construction, Inc., Katie Arnholt Kim is responsible for project management, marketing, sales and management of the company’s field scheduling. She manages subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring that construction projects are on schedule and within budget and eliminating issues before they become roadblocks. Arnholt Kim guides projects from start to finish and ensures owners are aware of all processes and decisions throughout the construction process. She recently took on the accounting and HR duties for the company as well.

Arnholt Kim always goes above and beyond for her clients and her company. When Horan Construction didn’t have a website in the 1990s, she took a class in HTML and built the site herself. She continues to manage the website so clients can monitor the progress of their projects online. She also instituted “Tech Tuesdays” at the company to teach computer skills to other team members.

Arnholt Kim also serves as the director of the commercial division at Keller Williams Premier Realty and teaches a technology class each month to help agents feel comfortable with technologies such as social networking and blogs. She is on the Keller Williams Leadership Council and the Commercial Realtors Board of the Peoria Area Association of Realtors.

Recognized for her leadership in her profession, Arnholt Kim received the Outstanding Project Manager Award from Horan Construction in 2007, 2008 and 2009. She received the Outstanding Sales Performance Award from Keller Williams in 2007 and is a regular contributor to the company’s newsletter.

Arnholt Kim is a member of numerous community groups in the Peoria area. She serves on the Economic Development and Growth Experts Board for the Economic Development Council for Central Illinois and recently became a board member of the Children’s Home Foundation. She is actively involved in the Cursillo and Teens Encounter Christ community and has served on a Prison Cursillo team. A 2008 graduate of the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership School, she is active in Women in Leadership and has worked on events for CASA and Habitat for Humanity.

Katie Arnholt Kim has a passion for helping people succeed. She recently added motherhood to her long list of duties, but was soon back in the office managing projects while tending to her new baby. iBi
