Jamie Engstrom is Director of Global Technology Services in Caterpillar’s Global Information Services division, leading an organization that spans North America, Europe and Asia to provide technology infrastructure and collaboration services to Caterpillar employees, dealers and customers. Her organization’s responsibilities include global data center management, network services, service desk operations, storage and database services, IT security services, end user computing and cloud implementations.

Engstrom led a global technology transformation project that adapted new, innovative technologies and has mitigated substantial systems risk across Caterpillar. Because of her leadership, the company is better positioned to use technology as a competitive advantage. Earlier this year, she completed the Caterpillar Executive Leadership Program, designed to prepare future leaders for executive-level positions. She is also involved in the Women in Leadership initiative at Caterpillar, helping to develop a framework to enable a cultural shift in female leadership opportunities across the company.

Outside of her work responsibilities, Engstrom is active on the Easter Seals Board of Directors, serving as board secretary and as a member of the Executive Committee. For the past three years, she has spearheaded the organization’s annual leadership summit, which brings world-class business professionals together in Peoria to share ideas across industries. An offshoot of the popular Passage to India event, the summit is now called Mindshare Midwest, and Engstrom played a significant role in its rebranding and transformation, helping to establish its theme, bringing in speakers from major companies, and developing its new website and mobile app.

Engstrom is described as a collaborative, influential and take-charge visionary with the unique ability to connect downward, upward and across organizations to develop relationships—as well as business solutions. In her spare time, she enjoys boating and spending time with her family and two dogs. iBi
