From flash mobs to pop-up markets to the “yarn-bombing” of public works of art, small-scale temporary zones of activity have gone mainstream in recent years—and Peoria has witnessed examples of each. These projects are fun and effective ways to attract attention and improve the urban environment. This June, Par-A-Dice Hotel Casino is putting a new spin on the movement with OUTATIME—a pop-up bar themed around the classic time-traveling trilogy of Back to the Future movies.

Featuring signed memorabilia, specialty food and drinks, and the bar’s main feature—a DeLorean, famously used by Marty McFly to travel back in time—the theme never stops, explains Amanda O’Neil, promotions manager. “We will be featuring all three movies as décor… from the ‘Enchantment Under the Sea’ dance in the first movie… to the western saloon from the third film,” she says. “We are recreating (with certain liberties) the diner bar from Part II, Cafe 80s—custom-made by one of our team members.”

A grand opening for OUTATIME will take place on June 13, 2018—and the bar will be open Wednesdays and Thursdays (4-11pm), Fridays and Saturdays (4pm-2am), and Sundays for brunch only (10am-3pm) through July 8th. Visit paradicecasino.com or find them on Facebook for more information. iBi
