Saturday, February 1. Da Vinci Family Day at the Peoria Riverfront Museum will feature hands-on activities based around the Renaissance man and his various inventions, free with paid admission.

Tuesday, February 4. The 2020 State of the City Luncheon hosted by the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce takes place at 11:45am at the Peoria Civic Center. Mayor Jim Ardis will reflect on the year past and give his outlook for the year ahead.

Thursday, February 6. The Morton Chamber of Commerce Annual Meet-Up kicks off at 4:30pm at Burroughs Farms in Morton. The Distinguished Service Award winner, Chamber Volunteer of the Year and 2020 Pumpkin Festival theme will be announced.

Friday, February 7. Easterseals’ 15th annual Black & Blue Ball will take place in the Peoria Civic Center Ballroom. The event features live and silent auctions, music and entertainment by 28 Days, and DJ services by Matt Bahan and Red Hot Brian Scott.

Saturday, February 8. ArtsPartners will host The Business of Art in the Robert Michel Student Center at Bradley University. The daylong event features seminars designed to connect entrepreneurial artists with business professionals who can help them navigate the world of business.

Thursday, February 13. The American Advertising (ADDY) Awards kicks off at 5pm at The Warehouse on State, recognizing the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising.

Thursday, February 13. The Fine Arts Society of Peoria presents a lecture from Julia Foulkes, Professor of History at the New School in New York, entitled “Making Dance American: Ballet and Modern Dance in the 20th Century.” The event takes place at 10am in the Peoria Riverfront Museum Auditorium.

Saturday, February 15. The Peoria Heart & Stroke Ball will take place at the Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette. Enjoy signature cocktails, silent auction items and an elegant dinner while celebrating the inspiring survivors of heart disease and stroke.

Saturday, February 15. The Peoria Symphony Orchestra presents Romance in the Peoria Civic Center Theater at 7:30pm featuring the sizzling sounds of The BraziLionaires, followed by the annual Romance After Party with Nathan Taylor & Friends.

Tuesday, February 18. Soup & Soul 2020 takes place at Dream Center Peoria from 4:30 to 7pm. Local restaurants will come together and raise money to fund the various programs and events at the Dream Center.

Thursday, February 20. Bradley University will host its Spring Job & Internship Fair from 11 to 3:30pm in the Renaissance Coliseum.

Friday, February 21. The OSF Healthcare Foundation presents MS Carnivale at the Par-A-Dice Hotel Casino. The New Orleans-style Mardi Gras celebration features French Quarter fare, a silent auction and live entertainment, with proceeds to benefit the Central Illinois Multiple Sclerosis Clinic Support Fund.

Monday, February 24. The Creve Coeur Club of Peoria’s 122nd annual George Washington Day Banquet will feature keynote speaker Carly Fiorina, former CEO of Hewlett-Packard, at the Peoria Civic Center.

Friday, February 28, thru Sunday, March 1. The Home Builders Association of Greater Peoria will host the 2020 Spring Home Show at the Peoria Civic Center, featuring a wide range of interior, exterior, home building and remodeling products and services. 

Saturday, February 29. Hopscotch, the adults-only fundraising event, takes on a 1920s speakeasy theme this year at the Peoria PlayHouse Children’s Museum from 6 to 9pm. PM
