Friday, 11/1. Join the Young Professionals of Greater Peoria for a spooktacular evening of food, drinks, revelry and live music by JammSammich at the Monster Bash: Nightmare on State Street at The Warehouse on State at 7pm.

Saturday, 11/2. The Ronald McDonald House Charities Art Gala will feature over 100 original works by central Illinois artists at the Scottish Rite Cathedral. Help select art for placement in Peoria’s new Ronald McDonald House and enjoy live demonstrations, pop-up entertainment, food and a cash bar.

Saturday, 11/2. The Illinois Art League will host its annual Holiday Art Market at The Warehouse on State, featuring original artwork from over 26 central Illinois artists.

Monday, 11/4. Peoria Magazines will honor a new class of rising young stars at the 40 Leaders Under Forty Awards Ceremony. The event kicks off at 5pm at the Par-A-Dice Hotel.

Tuesday, 11/5 & Thursday, 11/7. GENeration United presents Fall BoardSERVE, a two-evening seminar designed to help emerging leaders learn what it takes to serve on a nonprofit committee or board of directors.

40 Leaders Under Forty ceremony

Thursday, 11/7. The Illinois Small Business Development Center and Turner Center for Entrepreneurship at Bradley University invite the public to attend Brave Launch Final Pitch Day to watch the teams of entrepreneurs deliver their final pitch to investors.

Thursday, 11/7 & Friday, 11/8. The Bradley University Department of Art and Illinois Women Artists Project will host the Midwest Women Artists Symposium, exploring the contributions of Midwest women artists to the art history canon, how the geography of the Midwest has influenced their practice, and the intersections of art and science in their work.

Friday, 11/8. The Peoria Art Guild and PAME (Performing Arts Master Classes And Events) present The Power of Diversity, featuring young artists highlighting diversity through photography. The top 30 images will be showcased at the Peoria Art Guild.

Tuesday, 11/12. The Betty Jayne Brimmer Center for the Performing Arts will host “Profiting from Positivity in the Workplace,” with motivational speakers Kim Kaufman, Yvonne Greer and Bill Barr. The day-long event will have a TED-talk atmosphere.

Wednesday, 11/13. The Central Illinois Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals will host its annual National Philanthropy Day Awards Luncheon at the Par-A-Dice Hotel, recognizing local donors, volunteers and fundraising executives.

Festival of Trees

Friday, 11/15. The 10th annual CUREageous event by the Illinois CancerCare Foundation honors physicians and medical professionals who move patient care forward through their dedication and research.

Monday, 11/18. Bradley University’s Turner School of Entrepreneurship and Innovation will host the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem & Convergence Conference featuring nationally known entrepreneurs and subject matter experts sharing best practices.

Thursday, 11/21. The Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce presents the 2019 Thanksgiving Luncheon at the Peoria Civic Center, recognizing annual award winners and featuring keynote speaker John Wieland, CEO of MH Equipment.

Thursday, 11/21 thru Sunday, 11/24. Crittenton Centers’ 11th annual Festival of Trees at the Life Together Center will feature more than 90 beautifully decorated trees, wreaths, centerpieces and other holiday items to bid on, plus many other activities. PM
