Kidder Music celebrates 45 years in business in 2019.
by Peoria Magazine |

Founded in 1974, Kidder Music is celebrating 45 years in business with an expansion to their Peoria facility. Up to seven new lesson rooms will allow them to offer even more classes for students, while a number of summer music programs maintain its longtime mission to foster youth music programming.

“Boom Whackers” is billed as a “creative energy release” for grades four through nine, allowing them to let loose for an hour each week. “Broadway Meets Hollywood,” featuring local actress and writer Anne Hagemann, is a day camp for ages nine to 15, providing instruction in acting, singing, dancing and audition preparation for stage and film. Private music lessons are also available so students can keep their skills sharp while school is out.

Kidder Music offers a wide selection of musical instruments, sheet music and books, as well as certified instrument repair technicians. “We have loved being a part of the local shop scene that is growing bigger with each passing year,” says Brittany Robinson, lesson coordinator, “and we plan on having many more anniversaries to celebrate with Peoria.” Visit kiddermusic.com or call (309) 692-4040 to learn more.
