As renovations near completion, OSF HealthCare announced that two restaurants will move into its new headquarters building in downtown Peoria. Great Harvest Bread Company is a locally owned bakery and café offering a variety of bakery goods as well as soups, salads, sandwiches and paninis. It will be located off the lobby in the area that once housed the Cat Merchandise store.

Saffron Social will be the latest offering from restaurateur Travis Mohlenbrink, owner of Cracked Pepper Catering, Cayenne, Sugar, Thyme, The Warehouse on State and Industry Brewing. Housed at the corner of Washington and Fulton streets, the 1950s Art Deco-style restaurant and bar will offer comfortable booths and a private space for midsized gatherings. “The menu will be heavy on fresh shellfish and seafood, prime grade steaks and pasta,” Mohlenbrink says. “The craft cocktail bar will focus on craft spirits and have one of if not the largest wine list in the area.” Occupants will begin moving into the new headquarters building in January 2022.
