Social Connections for Seniors

Social isolation and loneliness pose a range of health risks, both mentally and physically.

Right at Home, which offers home healthcare services to seniors and disabled adults, is starting a free Social Connections Program to ensure homebound people feel a little less lonely. Their caregivers want to remind the elderly population they’re not alone and give them an opportunity to chat with someone. They will call homebound individuals and see how they are doing, providing a calming reassurance that somebody cares.

To register for the free program, call (309) 327-0808. Individuals do not need to be an existing client to sign up.PM
