Located just outside of Peoria, Wildlife Prairie Park has been a family favorite for more than four decades, providing an inside look at the animal and plant life native to the Midwestern prairie. The 1,800-acre zoological park is home to 60 different species and more than 150 animals—with spectacular natural landscapes providing a distinctive backdrop for wildlife viewing. There’s also a sculpture walk, butterfly habitat, train rides, playgrounds and a wide range of recreation opportunities—including options for fishing and boating, disc golf, and over 20 miles of hiking and biking trails.
