Mission
Our central Illinois organization provides programs and services to adults with
disabilities, enriching their quality of life, promoting social change and optimizing their potential for independence.
Vision
CWTC will lead central Illinois in successful integration of people with disabilities.
What We Do
CWTC provides essential training to adults with disabilities to help them maximize their independence and affords them the opportunities to live, work and grow in their communities. Our individuals receive a variety of services including job skills training, life skills training and development of skills that improve safety, health and well-being.
These services are provided to adults with disabilities in their residential settings, vocational programs, community settings, and community employment sites.
Community Services
- Community Housing – assistance with independent living skills
- Community Integration – day training services focused on life skills and volunteerism
Employment Services
- Organizational Employment – in house training on subcontract work
- Community Employment – job skills training, job placement, job development with community employers
Community Engagement
Many community employers continue to embrace diversity and improve their company culture by hiring adults with disabilities. When a business hires a person with a disability, not only are they getting a great employee, they are also getting a team from CWTC that will work to help support the employer and make it a positive, successful experience for everyone.
