To entertain, educate and inspire through music! The Peoria Symphony Orchestra presents excellent live musical performances, innovative music education programs, and engaging community outreach efforts, which significantly impact the cultural life of central Illinois.

The Peoria Symphony Orchestra will be widely recognized as the leading professional orchestra in Central Illinois with an influence that reaches beyond the region, serving as a national model of innovation, artistic excellence, music education, community collaboration and financial sustainability.
Entertain
The Peoria Symphony Orchestra (PSO) brings high-quality cultural offerings to the Central Illinois region. From classical concerts like the Four Seasons to celebrations of the music of Broadway and movies, the PSO aims to entertain. The PSO will make a return to the stage in our upcoming 124th Season with groundbreaking material. You do not want to miss it!
Educate
Music education is an important mission of both the Peoria Symphony Orchestra and the Peoria Symphony Guild, an auxiliary volunteer organization that supports and promotes the PSO. Activities include Peoria County Bright Futures preschool outreach, Student Concerts, Young Artist Competition, Master Classes, virtual content and more.
Inspire
Beyond our staged performances, the PSO brings the benefits of music—to entertain, soothe and heal, and educate—to the greater community. A large component of our musical outreach is Resident Artist Week (RAW), where a performing guest artist visits various schools, senior living centers and other locales during a week-long stay in Peoria.
Volunteer
Join the Peoria Symphony Guild to volunteer with educational outreach programs including the Annual Student Concert, Young Artist Competition, Puppet Troupe and Musical Mondays. Learn more at psoguild.org.

Ticket sales only cover one-third of our operating expenses, so the PSO relies on the generous contributions of individuals and corporations.
