A senior associate in Hasselberg, Williams, Grebe, Snodgrass & Birdsall’s litigation department, Boyd O. Roberts III currently specializes in workers’ compensation defense, commercial litigation, insurance defense litigation, family law and criminal defense. He also has extensive experience in real estate transactions, title insurance, estate planning and probate matters. Roberts represents individual, municipal and corporate clients in a multitude of areas and has argued before the Third District Appellate Court in Illinois and the Workers’ Compensation Commission of Illinois.

Roberts understands his clients and their goals, and works tirelessly to achieve justice for them by providing quality legal work in a prompt, courteous and professional manner while maintaining a high ethical standard. He is respected by other attorneys in the legal community and serves as a mentor to younger attorneys in the firm who look to him for advice and ideas.

Roberts is a member of the Peoria County Bar Association and Illinois State Bar Association, and is a barrister with the Abraham Lincoln Inns of Court. He is currently admitted to practice law in the state of Illinois and before the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois. Roberts has also been involved with the Lincoln Memorial Banquet, Young Lawyers, Real Property, Pro Bono and Family Law committees for the Peoria County Bar Association. He is a BV peer review rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, and has been a speaker at Caterpillar’s Build Your Futures symposium for disadvantaged business owners the last two years.

Roberts leads by example and inspires those who work with and around him to share their time and talents with others. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Cancer Center for Healthy Living and has been an active supporter of their fundraising activities. He volunteers for Banner Elementary School PTO and has served as a volunteer coach with the Dunlap Recreation Association and Peoria Park District. He previously served as a member of the vestry for St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral in Peoria. Roberts is an active supporter of the American Diabetes Association, United Way, Easter Seals, Children’s Hospital of Illinois, and local Cub and Girl Scout troops. iBi
