The Peoria Art Guild is partnering with Black Dog Metal Arts to bring the first ever, historic iron pour run by female identified artists in Peoria. This event showcases iron artists from all across the country in a bubbling, fiery performance of casting molten metal. This unique, all day event starting at 12 noon is part of the Citywide Celebration of Women in the Arts. Free and family-friendly, we invite you to take part in the experience by watching or creating your own cast iron art by purchasing scratch blocks at all points during the day, with proceeds going to the artists. Join us and watch as the ancient art of iron casting take place before your very eyes. Join us as we pour history into place!
Food and beverages will be available for purchase from local vendor trucks during the duration of the event. This event allows those in the Central Illinois community to be a part of the small nook of the larger backbone of the art world – the iron community. Free for all to enjoy.
