Morton Community Unit School District 709 is pleased to invite the public to the Heidi White Memorial Concert on March 27th, 7:00 pm at Grace Church in Morton, IL. Tickets to the event are $5.00 per person or $20.00 per family and will be sold at the door.
Proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Heidi White Scholarship Fund and the Heidi White Memorial Music Endowment Fund at the Morton Community Foundation. Mrs. White taught music in the Morton School District. She passed away in 2004 at the age of 27 of complications after childbirth. Her life is celebrated each spring through this memorial concert.
Come and enjoy a great evening of music for a wonderful cause. The concert will contain the artistic talents of The Hilltop String Quartet (Headline ensemble featuring Billy Akers, Morton Alum and Heidi’s former student), B Naturals, Bum Bums, MJHS Jazz Band, MJHS & MHS Prelude Strings, Morton Elementary Choir, PB&J, and Keaton Weber as the Emcee.
Eli’s Coffee Shop in Morton will be at the program serving pre-show drinks and sweets beginning at 6:15 pm.
